The free check
The free check form asks for your brand name, website and category, and sends them to our server. The server writes five buyer-style questions from your category and sends each one to OpenAI's GPT-4o mini through the API in three answer styles. It then sends each answer, together with your brand name, back to the model to find out whether your brand was named and which competitors were. Your website is not sent to OpenAI.
The result goes back to your browser and is not stored. The free check does not ask for your email address and sends you nothing. Your browser adds your brand, website and category to the Gumroad checkout link, so the purchase form is filled in if you decide to buy.
The full audit
When you buy the full audit, Gumroad receives the details in the checkout link and the details you give at checkout. Gumroad then notifies our server of the sale. The notice includes your email address, your name if Gumroad collected it, the order details and the details from the checkout link. The server checks the license key with Gumroad's license service (api.gumroad.com), runs 20 questions in three answer styles through OpenAI in the same way as the free check, using your brand name and category, and emails the report to the address on your purchase through our email provider, Resend. If no brand name reaches us, the server uses the name on the purchase in its place.
We do not keep the audit or its answers. A copy of the report email stays in your inbox and is held by Resend for a limited time under its own policy. Our server writes the sale ID in our hosting logs. It does not log your email address or other personal details.
OpenAI
OpenAI receives your category, any location you give, your brand name and the answers its model produced. Under OpenAI's API data policy, data sent through the API is kept for up to 30 days to monitor abuse and, by default, is not used to train OpenAI's models. Said by AI is independent and not affiliated with OpenAI.
Hosting and fonts
The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes each request, including your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type, and keeps request logs for a limited time. If something fails, our server writes a technical error message to those logs. The fonts are served from this site, so no font service sees your visit.
Emails
If you email us or reply to one of our emails, we receive your email address and your message. Mail sent to peakappsstudio.com addresses is forwarded by Forward Email to a Gmail inbox. We use your email only to reply to you.

OpenAI, Vercel, Gumroad, Resend and Google are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long data is kept
- Free check details and results: only while the check runs.
- Requests to OpenAI: up to 30 days, under OpenAI's API data policy.
- Audit reports: in your inbox until you delete them, and with Resend for a limited time under its own policy.
- Hosting logs, including the sale ID: kept by Vercel for a limited time under its own policy.
- Purchase records: kept by Gumroad under its own policy.
- Emails to us: until we delete them. Ask us and we will delete yours, unless we need it as a record of a payment or refund.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@peakappsstudio.com and we will reply within one month. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Said by AI is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top.
